LOGICAL SPECS

SECURITY
Access Control Lists: ACL's will be placed at the LAN layer of this model. The main factor is to block students from accessing the Administrative Servers. It  will be placed on my LAN Router.

Below is the ACL command:

• Router(config)# access-list 1 deny 140.10.4.0 255.255.254.0
  Router(config)# access-list 2 deny 140.10.5.0 255.255.254.0
  Router(config)# access-list permit any
  

Password Security: 
Passwords must be at least 8 characters.
No first or last names allowed.
All passwords must contain One (1) uppercase letter, One (1) lowercase letter , and One (1) number.
Passwords will be updated every semester.
No password may be used twice in a row.

IP ADDRESSING
I am using a Class B IP address. I will need at least 66 subnets, which calls for me to borrow 7 bits. This leaves me with the following information.

The above IP ranges for School District #1 will be laid out in the following manner:

The model for School #1 will be implemented in all of the school districts. Each school will have two subnets. One for the student side and one for the Admin side. The Admin PC's will be static IP's and the student PC's will obtain and IP address dynamically through the DHCP server.
